Director of Parks and Recreation

This position is responsible for the operations, development and maintenance of a comprehensive Parks and Recreation program and Senior Center, supervising and training staff, managing and balancing a budget, recommending purchase of equipment and materials, approves plans and goals for community center operations and programs for all citizens, city wide athletic programs, aquatic programs, city wide special events, wellness and fitness programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience in recreation work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, abilities, and knowledge.

Certifications and Registrations: A valid Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one is required. Certified in basic first aid and CPR/AED.

Salary Range:   $65,000 to $76,000 per year
