2026 LEAD Workshop

PROGRAM DATES: November 5–7 @ Camp Skyline, Mentone, AL

COST: $175 per participant (includes lodging and meals)

PURPOSE: To equip parks and recreation professionals with the tools they need to be effective leaders within their agencies, their communities, the profession, and ultimately ARPA/ARPF. 

PROGRAM CONTENT: The 2.5 day program will consist of: leadership development/enhancement activities, FISH! Philosophy for Leaders and team building exercises. All adventure programming is challenge by choice. 

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be ARPA Professional Members in good standing and have maintained membership for a minimum of six months. College students majoring in parks and recreation or a related field may also be considered with a professor’s recommendation. All applicants must have a working email address and the ability to complete pre-LEAD activities online. 

NOMINATIONS: Any member of ARPA may nominate a candidate for ARPA LEAD. Self-nominations are acceptable. All applications must include the signature of the nominee and applicant's agency supervisor. Nominations will be reviewed by ARPF with no more than 10 participants being selected.
