We will have a fun day experiencing fun and educational things geared toward people 50 and over. We are parterning with the Alabama Extension Services to bring an educational, informative session that will provide nutritional information and a way to get some heart-healthy exercises all while sitting in a chair.

The crew from the 4H Center introduces us to snakes, gators, and turtles, oh my! The Alabama 4-H Science School’s Herp Journey program allows children and adults to experience and learn about a collection of Alabama’s native reptiles and amphibians. This program allows groups to get up close to some of the species that inhabit Alabama and other parts of the world. A hands-on reptile and amphibian experience is an adventure for all!!

The Raptor Trek is the Alabama 4-H premier bird of prey experience. This program allows participants to experience and learn about a collection of Alabama’s native species of raptors through a conservation-based presentation. We will meet the school’s collection of unreleasable raptors and learn about the circumstances that brought these avian educational ambassadors into their care. Also learn how people can take steps to help protect these native species. The birds of prey that call the Alabama 4-H Center their roost are all here for a specific reason. Car injuries, physiological causes, and human interaction have made these birds unreleasable.

We will also welcome Encore Rehabilitation, other informative educational, fun, activities, all while just enjoying a day out. We will end the day with what we all hope to be a fun enjoyable time of bingo!!

Lunch will be hamburgers, hotdogs and the fixings. This will be the only expense for the day, $20.00 for a delicious meal served to us in the area we will be in, this needs to be prepaid when sending in your registration, form attached.

• 12:00 AM Lunch, Served in the lobby of the EE Building, $20.00 per participant
• 1:00 PM Encore Rehabilitation
• 2:00 PM Raptor Trek with the Alabama 4H Center
• 3:00 PM Bingo
