PURPOSE: To equip parks and recreation professionals with the tools they need to be effective leaders within their agencies, their communities, the profession, and ultimately ARPA/ARPF.

PROGRAM CONTENT: The 2.5 day program will consist of: leadership development/enhancement activities, FISH! Philosophy for Leaders and team building exercises. All adventure programming is challenge by choice.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be ARPA Professional Members in good standing and have maintained membership for a minimum of six months. College students majoring in parks and recreation or a related field may also be considered with a professor’s recommendation. All applicants must have a working email address and the ability to complete pre-LEAD activities online.

NOMINATIONS: Any member of ARPA may nominate a candidate for ARPA LEAD. Self-nominations are acceptable. All applications must include the signature of the nominee and applicant's agency supervisor.

Nominations will be reviewed by ARPF with no more than 10 participants being selected.

PROGRAM DATES: November 5–7 @ Camp Skyline, Mentone, AL.
